Crazy cat lady? Perhaps...
Before I met Steve, I had 3 cats of my own. I adopted Owen as soon as I moved into my own house, got Kiko about 8 months later and then there was Benny. I agreed to foster Benny, a special needs cat with Cerebella Hyperplasia when he was about 5 months old. I worked with him on how to walk up and down stairs, jump, etc. I never intended to keep him, but I just feel in love wth him.
I have been volunteering with a cat rescue for around 5 years now where I used to foster and now I just maintain the rescue's website. Between crazy work schedules and Steve's allergies, we couldn't commit to fostering as much as we wanted to. But I digress...
When I met Steve, he had a miniature daschund named Olive...I am not sure who I fell in love with first, him or her! We knew we wanted to add another daschund to the mix, so we adopted Dexter from a Doxie rescue in Michigan. They are the perfect "paradox"!
Here are our "20 Paws" which we love to death (in order, Owen, Kiko, Benny, Olive and Dexter).
We can't imagine a house not filled with the pitter patter of paws. :)
